Honor roll levels on one list

Each school sets its own honor roll rules, for example all A and B grades, or a grade point average above a set level for the grading period. Many schools have more than one level – such as honor roll, high honor roll and a principal's list – and print a certificate for every student who qualifies.

You do not need a separate batch for each level. Paste the whole list with the level after each name, for example Maya Chen | High Honor Roll – all A grades, and every certificate shows that student's own level. Students without a line of their own get the default reason from the Wording section.

What to put on an honor roll certificate

The title: “Honor Roll”, “Honor Roll Certificate” or the name of your level, such as “Principal's List”.
The student's name as it appears on school records, if the certificate may go into a portfolio.
The level and the period: “for earning a place on the A–B Honor Roll, second quarter 2026”.
The school's name and logo and the principal's signature; a counsellor or teacher can sign as the second signer.

Formal enough to keep

Honor roll certificates often end up in a student's portfolio, so a formal design reads best: the Classic and Laurel designs have a frame and a seal, and Minimal is the lowest-ink choice for a long list. Tick Number each certificate under Date and signatures if your school keeps a register of awards.

Frequently asked questions

How do I show different honor roll levels?

Put the level after each student's name, after a tab, “|” or comma: “Ava Lopez | High Honor Roll”. Or paste two columns from your grade spreadsheet: names in the first, levels in the second.

Can I print honor roll certificates for a whole grade?

Yes, up to 100 at a time, one per page. For a larger list, print it in batches of 100.

Which design looks most official?

The Classic designs (double gold frame and seal) and the Laurel designs (laurel wreath and heavy border) look the most formal. All print on A4 or US Letter.

Is the student list uploaded anywhere?

No. Names are read in your browser and are not sent to a server. They are only saved on this device if you tick Remember names on this device.
