What to put on an employee of the month certificate
- The month and year: in the title (“Employee of the Month – October 2026”) or in the reason line.
- A specific reason: what the person did and why it mattered. “For covering three extra shifts during the stocktake” is worth more than “for great work”.
- Your company name and logo, and the signature of the manager or owner presenting it.
- A certificate number if you keep a record of past winners, for example EOM-2026-010.
How to write the reason
Describe something others saw, and link it to what your team values: service, reliability, teamwork, safety. Name the result if there is one. One or two lines is enough; the maker fits longer text to its space and marks any that had to shrink a lot.

Every month, the same design
Your design, logo, wording and signatures are remembered in this browser, so next month you only change the name, month and reason. Several departments can have their own winner in one batch: paste one name per line with that person's reason after a tab, “|” or comma.

Frequently asked questions
Should the month go in the title or the reason line?
Either. In the title (“Employee of the Month – October 2026”) it stands out on a noticeboard; in the reason line the title can stay the same every month. Titles under about 40 characters fit on one or two lines.
What size frame does the certificate fit?
The certificate is printed at full page size: US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4 (210 × 297 mm), landscape or portrait. Standard document frames for those paper sizes fit it.
Can each department have its own winner?
Yes. Paste each winner with their own reason after a tab, “|” or comma; every name is printed on its own page.
Is the company logo uploaded anywhere?
No. The logo and signature images are read and stored in your browser only, and are printed on every certificate.
